Margaret Soraya is a professional photographer based on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. During her 22-year professional career, Margaret has held multiple solo exhibitions and published four books, most recently Shaped by the Sea, launched alongside her June 2026 exhibition. She also leads photography workshops and creative retreats on Harris and founded the biennial Creative Light Festival. Her work explores place, solitude and the Hebridean sea.

Imagine photographing Himalayan sunrises, ancient temples and colourful festivals... all on your smartphone.

This November, join ROY MORRIS and renowned smartphone photographer and tutor JET LENDON on a 10-day photography adventure through Nepal's breathtaking Kathmandu Valley.

No heavy camera kit. No expensive lenses. Just the phone already in your pocket.

You'll photograph UNESCO World Heritage sites, ancient temples after dark, spectacular Himalayan sunrises, colourful festivals and sacred ceremonies, with plenty of opportunities to improve your photography along the way. If conditions are right, there's even the chance to take an unforgettable early-morning mountain flight over the Himalayas.

With a maximum of 8 people in the group, you'll enjoy plenty of individual support from Jet throughout the trip.

Projects are magical - Morag shares how this project began through conversations and time spent working with a forester and a soil scientist.

Using traditional photography and techniques such as intentional camera movement (ICM), Morag began exploring taking images beyond the forest ecosystem.

Morag Paterson is a Scottish photographer driven by curiosity and experimentation. Her recent work exploring forest environments has been recognised through selection for the Earth Photo Awards, with exhibitions at the Royal Geographical Society in London and toured nationally across Forestry England and National Trust sites.
