‘Full Circle’ - Artist Talk with Mary Branson

On Saturday 12th September, we are proud to present an illustrated talk given by installation artist, ceramicist and award-winning printmaker Mary Branson.

We are exhibiting two sound installations by Mary this year — ‘The Undertow’ and ‘A Conversation with My Mother’ — and it has been wonderful to see these works find a new life within the landscape.

For this event, Full Circle, Mary will be speaking about her work and the journey that has led her from some of my early projects through to large-scale installations including ‘New Dawn’ at the Houses of Parliament, ‘Harvest’ at Box Hill and ‘Ladders of Light’ at Salisbury Cathedral.

Afterwards, we’ll head out into the garden together to experience ‘A Conversation with My Mother’, Mary’s sculpture and sound installation made around memory, love and connection.

~ Guided Group Tours ~

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting the Surrey Garden Design Group for a private evening tour of the Sculpture Garden. Introduced by garden owner and world renowned landscape designer Anthony Paul , the group were taken on a journey of discovery through art and nature with co-curator Vikki Leedham.

Our Guided Tours allow guests to discover stories behind our unique landscape, and insights to a number of select sculptures - focusing on a variety of artists, styles, materials, and themes. Notable plants & trees are pointed out en route, and lots amusing anecdotes thrown in for good measure.

We still have availability for group tours this season - both during the day and a few opportunities for early evenings.

Perfect for Arts Society groups, WI, garden clubs, corporate days out…

If you’re not part of an organisation - never fear, we will be hosting a Guided Tour for the general public in October! Keep an eye on our feed or website for ticket launch…it’s always super popular so don’t miss out 😉
