Cumnock History Group, which works to preserve the rich heritage and ethos of the town and its people have recently published a new book, Many A Lang Scots Mile. Order in our shop. https://cumnockhistorygroup.org/.../many-a-lang-scots-mile/
It is a fund of stories documenting the journeys of those who left Cumnock and those newcomers who arrived, providing a fascinating look at the town’s background. Over 300 surnames are listed in the index for reference.
Postage abroad turns out to be very expensive as the book is heavy : email [email protected] or DM the page and we'll work something out.
