We had a visitor to the museum today who is looking to reconnect with friends she made in Crieff many years ago.

Her name is Amy Munoz nee Mandel

She came on a school exchange 35 years ago and lived with or knew Mr Donald and Mrs Wendy MacDougall who lived in 12 Dollerie Terrace, they had 2 daughter Lauren and Sandra.

We offered to see if we could get any info on them - maybe asking on Crieff and Strathearn Friendship Group.

OCTOBER’s TALK

Our last talk of the season will be held on Thursday 8 October, doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start.

John Cowie will be looking at the coinage of Mary Queen of Scots.
With examples of some rare Scottish coins to examine, he will explore a rather intriguing question: what can these small pieces of silver and billon tell us about life in Scotland at the time – and about the remarkable life of the Queen herself?

Two postcards from the early 20th century recently acquired. The first of the Clan Drummond postmarked 1903 Watford. And the second a Valentines postcard of the Crieff stocks dated August 1909 and the message shows the weather as cold and wet.
