📖 Libraries are at the heart of our communities, providing places where people can connect through stories, learning and culture. This October, Scottish author and traditional storyteller Jess Smith, a passionate supporter of libraries, will visit three CPK libraries to explore the lasting importance of storytelling and the written word.

Drawing on her own childhood experiences, Jess has spent many years sharing stories that highlight the traditions and experiences of Scotland’s travelling community. Through the power of storytelling and a strong sense of place, she has helped raise awareness and understanding of traveller culture. During these events, she will recount some of these personal stories and share extracts from her latest book, Button Bog.
