Hi All, the Art Sale is on at Consett Heart - Heritage and Arts Centre from 11 till 3 today. Lots of lovely pieces for all pockets. Come along and support local artists and the Consett Heart - Heritage & Arts Centre. Warm and friendly welcome with hot drinks available

This Saturday why not pop in and take a look at what's going on in our Christmas Art Sale with free entry between 11am & 3pm. We have a selection of local artists who will be selling their work direct to you so why not come in and see the fantastic talent on display and get someone a beautiful piece of art.

Plus there will be hot drinks and a warm welcome.

Note for artists - We still have a teeny amount of room so it's not too late to book a table, £10 for a 4ft table or £15 for a 6ft table - email us at [email protected]

It has been lovely to have all these fantastic pictures all over the walls here at Consett Heart - Heritage and Arts Centre. The pictures were created by the children of Shotley Bridge Infants and Juniors as well as the bunting by the Shotley Bridge Rainbows. They have been admired over the past week by and were a major display during the Consett Community Market. Well done to all.

Calling northern creatives. Why not rent a table at our Christmas Art Sale or if you’re a performer, who is perhaps honing new material, book a slot at our open mic night. Spaces still available for both and all funds raised by us go towards keeping our not for profit community arts and heritage centre open.

Every Wednesday upstairs at the centre from 7pm till 9pm it’s our long running board games night. Why not come along and spend a couple of hours switching off real life and playing a board or card game with us. It’s friendly, inclusive and warm and we always have a giggle. Best of all it’s and there’s no need to book.

We are beginning to feel like Christmas is coming here at so we are calling out for all you creative types to join us on Saturday 14th December with two fabulous events you can get involved in.

Firstly if you are an artist (any medium) and still have gaps in your pre Christmas sales calendar then why not reserve a table at our Christmas Art Sale which will run from 11am-3pm - tables cost from £10 smaller to £15 larger. Reserve your table by emailing us at [email protected]

On the evening we will be celebrating Christmas by holding our final Cabaret and Open Mic night of the year. If you would love a slot on our playbill drop us an email at [email protected] and we will provide you with a friendly audience and inclusive vibe. It's a great opportunity to try out new material and get your name out there and helps support a local community not for profit venue.

BIG ARTS PROJECT - ART @ HEART
As part of the project we are looking for people to create a window scene within the workshops on Tuesdays and Fridays. The idea is to create an view inside which represents them, how they feel or just a daily pastime. The images will all be but together to create a building. Thanks to the Derwent Valley Partnership - AAP for funding this amazing project.
