Witherslack Artists and Makers Group has exhibited in the Old School Room (or Barwick Hall) at Witherslack since the early 90's.

Today, 15 local artists and craftspeople plus guests take part in our Autumn exhibition.

Open from 10am today and tomorrow but then that's us for 2026. It's been lovely to see so many regular visitors and friends - and we hope to see a few more of you before we close at 5pm on Sunday 4th October.

We've just one more weekend to go for this year's Witherslack Artists and Makers Group exhibition.

We're open in the Barwick Hall 10am to 5pm each day over this weekend and there'll be members "on the desk" throughout - Jacqueline today (Friday), Tony and Hans on Saturday, Jane on Sunday.

Jacqueline will be "on the desk" at Witherslack today so it's a great chance to enjoy her jewellery and to ask her about her inspirations and techniques too.

Owen will be "on the desk" at our Witherslack exhibition today (Wednesday). Plenty of his gorgeous oak swill baskets on display (and on sale) but other woven work too. And a chance to ask him about his materials and the traditions of his skills.

Pip Hall Pip Hall Studios is known for her stone letter carving and there are pieces of her work (as well as cards) in this year's exhibition at Witherslack. She is also working on fabric and wallpaper designs and has a display of fabric samples in the exhibition too.

If you'd like to chat with Pip about her new work, she'll be "on the desk" on Thursday (1 October).

This year's Guest artists and makers have proved really popular - and their variety of skills and work is typical of our annual exhibition. It's been great to have Tony, Sue, Alayne, Eva, Peter and Stuart as part of the 2026 team.

It's our "middle" weekend coming up.
Hans Ullrich will be "on the desk" today (Friday) and then Fiona Clucas and Alvin F Irving will be around on Saturday, Ian Parker on Sunday.
