'Structural', I've had my life sketching described as. I agree. I burned through a whole roll of lining paper on Saturday morning with no desire to make any sketches precious. It was liberating.

The penultimate life class. These have been extraordinary. 34 years ago I was sketching nudes in this very room. Here I am again years later. Life drawing is THE way to sharpen your drawing skills. I will be saddened when this block comes to an end but will be first in the queue for the next class in the spring

This isn't my style, but I need to share this.
I've had four pieces of my work in an exhibition in the New Forest. June to September. I was emailed and told sadly that nothing had sold. I go to collect the pieces only to find one is bent in several places AND hadn't been maintained while it was there. How could they ever sell in this condition? The worst part is that I exhibited with the same people last year at a venue in Essex, and some child named Freddie took it upon himself to scratch his name into the Mica gold paint. They apologised and told me that this year's venue was a far better arrangement. Sadly not. I emailed a week ago, and they've never replied.

My work is my livelihood. I feel thoroughly let down, totally unsupported, and now left high and dry.
