It will soon be time for the blossoming of our 17th Century Roses.

Our roses bloom only once a year, so try not to miss them!

Their fragrant perfumes are such a wonderful experience to have, here in the 1620s Garden.

In the 17th century, roses were highly prized throughout England for their ornamental beauty, culinary uses (rosehip wine, jams), and medicinal properties (perfumes, potpourri).

To experience these roses in an authentic, historically accurate setting, please visit the 1620s House & Garden website for information, admission prices and opening times, on the link below.

With best wishes from the 1620s House & Garden Team. 💚

🐝Its World bee day🐝

Bees are one of the most important insects on Earth, acting as the primary pollinators for thousands of plant species.
There are over 20,000 known species of bees worldwide. Bees pollinate approximately one-third of the food that we eat daily. However, bee populations are currently facing a phenomenon called Colony collapse disorder, which is due to several factors such as habitat loss, climate change and pesticides. You can support the bee habitats by planting wildflowers and providing a shallow water source for them to drink from.💚🐝
