Here's one of my versions of the Lines ring.

There are so many things I like about this one...

The colour contrast of the white gold band and the yellow gold wire.

The gorgeous Montana sapphire in this unique colour and cut.

The luxurious, 18ct yellow gold bezel setting.

The strategic position of the setting on the band, half on half off, floating and making it even more flattering on the finger of the wearer.

The D shape which makes it super comfortable to wear, even on fingers with pronounced knuckles, and stops it from spinning. You can hardly feel it as it's flat on the side. The flat top of the D shape allows more room for the design to show and makes it possible to show the asymmetry of it in the position of the gemstone, where the lines end. It wouldn't show on a round ring as it would move and the stone would end up in the centre or even underneath, if it turned around the finger.

And finally, I like the fact that I designed it and made it, all by hand, from scratch, I set the sapphire in my studio and a lovely woman is now wearing it, a long way away from here, at her home, in the Republic of Ireland!

Here's a statement Engagement/ Wedding ring combination that I made for this super sweet couple back in May.

The bride chose a gorgeous large Aquamarine, paired with a blue Spinel, almost the colour of dark denim. I set them both in generous size, 18ct yellow gold bezels. I made the white gold band in a D-shape again, to ensure that this statement ring won't spin around the bride's delicate finger and she will be able to enjoy wearing it every day. I really like this ring. More importantly, the bride and groom who chose it are happy with it.

I loved the photos they very kindly let me have ( thank you Chloe Gels Photo & Video for allowing me to share here!). Don't you think they look cute?

Even their dog is absolutely adorable!๐Ÿ˜

Thank you so much A & H for coming to me! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Another look at this statement ring, based on my Isola design.
I made it for a client using the diamonds from their original platinum engagement and wedding rings.
They drove all the way from Buckinghamshire but I think they were pretty happy with the result! ๐Ÿ˜Š
What do you think?

Excited about the latest ring that I have just finished for the gallery. Gorgeous grey Moonstone cabochon (can you see the catโ€™s eye?). It's sitting securely in an 18ct yellow gold, "hug" of a setting.

Its companion, a tiny Tsavorite Garnet, sits on the other side of the band, perched high fir its size, set in 18ct yellow gold. Little guy, but vibrant green and a balancing component on this extremely comfortable, D-shape, sterling silver band.

I like it so much I think I will find it hard to part with. I have been enjoying working on two-stone pieces, with a dominant gemstone and a smaller, โ€œsatelliteโ€ stone with a more vibrant colour.

I am focusing on making pieces that allow me to be creative โ€” pieces that excite me and distract me from the ugliness around the world at the moment... That and working on your commissions ( of course) is the only way to keep going at the moment. For me, that is...

What do you do?

What helps you keep going?

I'd love to know!

(Please keep it civil ๐Ÿ˜)
