Butter making and crafting corn dollies are two of our favourite things to have a go at! And if you haven't met our butter lady Theresa or corn dolly maker Shaun, they'll both be be on the Farm Wednesday this week sharing how to make corn dollies and butter the traditional way. Yum! 🧈

🌾 We have a date for your diaries - join us on Sunday 27 September for our traditional Harvest Festival. Enjoy a procession through the Farm, listen to live music from the Church Stretton Accordion group and share a cup of barley water as we celebrate the year gone by!

Who loves real butter?! On Wednesdays during the school holidays you can meet our butter maker Theresa and learn all about traditional butter making. Yum!

Next weekend is all about our farm animals! 🐑🐴🐮🐷

Join us on Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 August for a special weekend celebrating the animals that make Acton Scott Heritage Farm their home.

Meet some of our much-loved farm animals, take part in family-friendly activities and talks, quiz the farmer, and have a go at guessing the weight of Miss Dulcie, our biggest pig! 🐷

You’ll also discover more about the rare and heritage breeds we care for at Acton Scott, why these traditional breeds are so special, and why we think it’s so important to help protect them for the future.

A lovely weekend for animal lovers of all ages! 🐑❤️

There’s nothing quite like seeing historic farm machinery brought back to life.

This baler was hard at work during our 2025 Threshing Weekend, turning the straw left behind after threshing into neat bales – ready to be put to use around the farm.

You can see traditional threshing in action again this year when our Threshing Weekend returns on Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 September.

Come along and discover how the harvest was brought in before the days of modern combines, and experience the sights, sounds and machinery of a traditional working farm. 🚜🌾

CPRE Shropshire will be holding a unique event at Acton Scott Heritage Farm on 24 and 25 October this year as part of celebrating our charity's Centenary year and the sixth year of our ongoing Hedgerow Heroes project.

With only £6.00 entry for adults and children under 16 free its a day not to be missed !!!

Entrance fee includes free parking and all the activities throughout the day.
