A lively group, we hold regular social gatherings, as well as a programme of talks and events to enrich members’ enjoyment of the collections at Cheltenham. Final chance to see Common Ground 🪨🌀

Curated by painter and folklorist , Common Ground journeys through stories of change, loss, rebellion, and reclamation in relation to common land and the natural environment - from Cheltenham and the Cotswolds to the wider world.

Common Ground brings together objects from across The Wilson’s collections which share local histories and explore how changing values and beliefs, and developments in industry, technology and farming have affected the land.

Woven into the narrative are those acts of defiance which have continually challenged laws around land use and access throughout history.

Free to visit until Sunday 31st August 🌳

Join us for a special edition of Coffee With a Curator as we unearth some of the hidden stories behind the creation of Common Ground, and the artists and objects that are featured! 🌾
