And so we say good bye to our Artists in Residence and reflect on their time at Curad. It’s been really wonderful to have Half Hour at the Hilton and Millllkie in Curad over the past week creating, experimenting, talking through ideas and collaborating. They had a wonderful feedback sessions from their small audiences and are now reflecting on the week and where to go next with their performances! Good luck guys! We hope to have to in the space again soon!

Over the week Half Hour at the Hilton and Millllkie setup office in Curad and have been working in both their individual practices and their collaborative practices. They ended their residency with a live performance exhibition in front of a very small audience. Here’s a slo motion video of Herve dancing 🕺 (warning flash imagery)⚡️

Millllkie filled the space with tv's and projections last week to work on the performance. It looked and sounded incredible! The visuals became site specific to the Capitol centre where found footage had been used to bring our world and the digital world together 🌍📺

Currently in CURAD we have artist in residence Half Hour at the Hilton and Millllkie who are collaborating on making experimental AV pop music, taking in 3D modelling, speech synthesis, motion capture and synchronised dance moves, and will be using both the Curad space and Curad Instagram to work on new material and reach out to the people of Cardiff and beyond!

Welcome to CURAD! We are based upstairs in the Capitol Centre in Cardiff and are currently putting together an exciting programme of workshops, talks and (hopefully) some social evenings! Looking forward to inviting you all to our space!
