Join artist Eòghann Mac Colla for a creative zine-making workshop exploring culture, place names and personal stories.

Have you got something you want to say? Can you add a bilingual element? Mix text with images and share a message or narrative, ask a question or declare a sluagh-ghairm. The point is to have fun making a zine. Create your own edition or small print run to share with family and friends.

Booking is required. All are welcome, and no previous Gaelic language knowledge is required. Gaelic speakers of all abilities are warmly welcomed.

Join Eòghann in Campbeltown for a creative zine-making workshop exploring Gaelic culture, place names and personal stories.

Create your own onomastic map and make a zine using drawing, photography, collage and print, while discovering more about Eòghann’s creative practice and residency.

Booking is required. All are welcome, and no previous Gaelic language knowledge is required. Gaelic speakers of all abilities are warmly welcomed.

CHARTS is delighted to welcome artist Eòghann Mac Colla to Campbeltown for the third Ceanglan Chaluim Chille pilot residency!

Zine-making workshops at Campbeltown Museum 🎨

As part of the residency, Eòghann will lead two hands-on zine-making workshops at Campbeltown Museum !

These workshops offer a chance to explore zine-making, discover Eòghann’s creative practice and engage with Gaelic culture during his residency in Campbeltown.

Booking is required. All are welcome, and no previous Gaelic language knowledge is required. Gaelic speakers of all abilities are also warmly welcomed.

If you're looking for a great local event this weekend, don't miss Sharing the Rainforest 🌿

Sharing the Rainforest 🌿
An exhibition of film and art that celebrates Kintyre’s unique rainforests.

Sharing the Rainforest is a half-day event on Saturday, June 13th, from 2-5pm at the Campbeltown Picture House.

This event is in celebration of Kintyre's temperate rainforest habitats, which are being mapped and restored by the Kintyre Rainforest Alliance and many local volunteers.

📆 2 - 3pm Film Showing and Discussion
Bioregioning Kintyre: Community-Led Nature Restoration
A short documentary about community-led nature restoration initiatives who are working to protect nature at risk across Kintyre, including temperate rainforests and seagrass habitats.

📆 3 - 5pm Art Exhibition and Rainforest Activities
An exhibition of local art in celebration of Kintyre’s temperate rainforests. Rainforest learning activities for everyone, including families and children.
The exhibition will be opening to the public from Sunday 14th – 28th June (please check the Campbeltown Picture House for opening times)

This awards scheme will offer 12 awards in total: 3 awards of £1000 across each of the 4 local council areas in Argyll and Bute.

If you’re a fluent Gaelic speaker or learner living in Argyll, working as an artist or heritage practitioner whose creative practice centres on Gaelic language, culture, and place, whether as an individual, partnership, or organisation, apply today!
