«Дерево і його життя»

Неймовірне дерево, яке роками чіпляється за життя. На пляжі Калалох, в Олімпійському національному парку, у Вашингтоні, США, є надзвичайне дерево, ялина звичайна (Picea sitchensis), яке деякі люди називають «Дерево життя», тому що воно, чіпляючись за життя, висить у величезній ущелини, яка постійно збільшується внаслідок ерозії грунту, що постійно обвалюється під деревом. Природа вчить нас стійкості.
Я не змогла залишитись байдужою: ця потужна стійкість і боротьба за життя цього могутнього І прекрасного дерева, розчепирило коріння і тримається будь-якою ціною… щось здавалося мені знайомим до болю… Коли чоловік його побачив сказав: «То це ж ти сама себе малюєш!» і він мав рацію: колись я перестала відчувати себе впевнено, земля уходила з-під ніг, все мінялось так швидко і час невблаганно працював проти мене. Я вирішила, щоб не впасти і не загинути, маю боротися проти тих правил, які диктує мені життя, і це спрацювало! Але то вже інша історія.
«The Tree and Life”

An incredible tree that clings to life for years. On Kalaloch Beach, in Olympic National Park, in Washington, USA, there is an extraordinary tree, a spruce (Picea sitchensis), which some people call the “Tree of Life” because it, clinging to life, hangs in a huge gorge that is constantly expanding due to erosion. Nature teaches us resilience.
I could not remain indifferent: this powerful resilience and struggle for life of this powerful and beautiful tree, spreading its roots and holding on at all costs… Something seemed painfully familiar to me… When my husband saw it and said: “You’re painting it yourself!” and he was right: once I stopped feeling confident, the ground was moving from under my feet, everything was changing so quickly and for an hour it worked relentlessly against me. I decided that in order not to fall and die, I had to fight against the rules that life dictated to me, and it worked! But that’s another story.
