Well the boys are still recovering after the 24hr Dartathon, however you still have time to participate. We still have scratchcards & the silent auction for a helicopter flight available. So pop in to the pub this week & help these great guys. Also, many thanks to Alli & Diana from Thanet Disabled Riding Centre for helping out and all their support.

🍺 MYSTERY CASK REVEALED! 🍺

Firkin congrats to Martin Baldwin on Facebook and (aka Andy G) on Instagram for being the first to correctly identify this week's mystery 5th cask! 👏

Come and grab your free pints gentlemen! 🍺

It is, of course...

Marble Brewery – EARL GREY IPA 🍺🫖

The clues were pretty simple:

⚪ A marble background.
🖼️ A portrait of Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, holding a pint of IPA.

Charles Grey served as British Prime Minister from 1830 to 1834 and is, of course, the man after whom Earl Grey tea is named.

And what a glorious pint this is! 😍

At 6.8% ABV, it certainly doesn't pull any punches.

From :
"Kees Bubberman (now of Brouwerij Kees) and John de Vries (now of Brouwerij de Molen) joined us originally to brew this smooth and citrusy India Pale Ale, which is fermented with timed additions of Earl Grey tea."

The Earl Grey is definitely apparent, but not overpowering, in this wonderfully nostalgic, amber, proper-strength India Pale Ale.

The first sip is strong and tannic, but that quickly subsides and it becomes ever-so moreish... Dangerously moreish for 6.8%, in fact. 😬

So, be careful with this one! Earl Grey might look like a respectable old gentleman, but he'll have your trousers down if you're not careful. 😂🍺

Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing some you you on my shift tonight from 5pm

Andy 🍻
