COMING THIS SEASON!
What happens when a cinema’s Lord of the Rings marathon goes terribly wrong? Join us a for a hilarious and epic adventure!

At the local cinema, all hell breaks loose when the ushers misplace the DVDs of The Lord of the Rings trilogy – every single copy! With only the soundtracks left in hand, the team of hapless ushers must somehow improvise an entire three-film saga in front of a live audience. Get ready for an uproarious evening of comedy, chaos, and utter nonsense, as they attempt to recreate the epic tale of hobbits, elves, and orcs – without any visuals, any planning, or any clue what they’re doing.

One month ago, the curtain came down on the remarkable From Page to Screen 2026.

Thank you to the people of Bridport for showing up in such wonderful spirit, filling the seats, asking the questions and making every event feel like a proper occasion.

To our brilliant guests, thank you for giving so generously of your time and knowledge. And to our sponsors, we could not have done it without your support.

For those who were not able to join our ‘Meet the Makers’ sessions, where leading professionals shared insight into their roles in the television and film industries, recordings will be uploaded every Monday to YouTube. The first full episode, featuring composer David Arnold, will be available to watch on Monday 1st June.

See you all again next year!

A young artist trapped between borders and violence turns her pain into art as she fights for freedom...

Screening as part of Refugee Week, this is a subtly textured self-portrait of Soraya, an Afghan free-spirited 16-year-old artist in Iran who has been trying for five years to make her way to Europe, chillingly capturing everything on her phone while pouring all her fears and worries into extraordinary works of art.

Directed remotely by Mehrdad Oskouei, the film is built from footage Soraya shot herself on her phone, alongside surreal animations and images of her art.
