We represent the 28th Infantry Division, Second Battalion, 109th Infantry Regiment, US Army, during the Second World War.

The Hut 9 Yanks will be deployed to Whitehorse Military show from the 14th to the 16th of August.

You’ll be able to find us in the American Sector of the camp, where we’ll be portraying a Late Gathemo / Early Mortain combat impression.

Our next show is Hut 9 at Island Farm PoW Camp, on the 20/21st of June, where Cpl Jeffrey and S/Sgt Pusey will be manning 2 rooms. One room will be medical/chaplaincy. The other will be Duty NCOs room with communications equipment.

Just a quick video of our camp at the Helicopter Museum. This depicts a holding area outside of Gathemo (near St-Lo), the first action of the 109th Infantry Regiment. This area would be where artillery and long range mortars would be based, along with a more structured "canvas camp" of tent, hence the tables and cots. We chose to do this because unfortunately, we were not allowed to dig in and make fighting positions, however we are hoping to attend an event later in the year which allows us to do so.

Welcome to the Hut 9 Yanks LHG page. We have some original photographs of the 2nd battalion 109th Infantry Regiment, during operation Cobra (the breakout from Normandy). During this operation , the 109th would face fierce enemy resistance during the Battle of Gathemo, its first major offensive.
