Brentwood Museum UK The aim of the Brentwood Museum is to make the past come to life. We are a small, hidden gem, of a museum located in Lorne Road Cemetary in Warley.

We open one weekend a month - the first full weekend - between April and October. During the winter months we run a series of historical talks or talks on a point of local interest. If you are commenting here, or on any of our social saces please take note of the rules for engagment below. BRENTWOOD MUSEUM RULES FOR SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT

This is a safe space for you to discuss history, Brentwood and the surrounding area, and to find out more about the museum and the museum society. Ask questions, leave comments and please get involved. In the interest of making this a safe space for everyone we will not tolerate:

* personal attacks and insults;
* posts that incite discrimination, violence, harassment, obscenity or offensive behaviour,
including threats;
* posts that incite any form of illegal behaviour - including those writing defamatory claims or * those posing a breach of privacy by including personal information;
* posts that promote or discredit a product, company, political party or any other
organisation;
* posts that are spam

We will use our discretion in determining whether content meets any of the above criteria and the museum reserves the right to delete comments or to block or ban users who break these rules.

Are you interested in museums? Or local history? Perhaps you'd like to get more involved with the local community in Brentwood?

The Brentwood Museum is looking for volunteers, if you have a few hours a week, and would be interested in helping to run the museum, or if you have some time at the weekend to come and help with our public opening, get in touch. You can also get involved in our evening talks too.

You don't need to volunteer a set number of hours a week or a month, all we ask for is a passion for history and an interest in museums or a desire to learn.

Pop along to the museum today - we're open between 1030 and 1230 and meet some of our amazing volunteers.

We’re open tomorrow Sunday October 4 from 2.30 until 4.40 and also on Monday October 5 from 10.30 until 12.30 where you’ll also get to meet some of our amazing volunteers.

Come and visit the Brentwood Museum today!!

We’re open from 2.30 until 4.30.

See our exhibition ‘Food glorious food’, our historical kitchen and our room on Brentwood history.

We’ll be open again tomorrow, Sunday from 2.30 until 4.30 and finally on Monday from 10.30 until 12.30.

The Brentwood Museum is open this weekend - for the last public opening of 2026!!

The green door will open from 2.30 until 4.30 Saturday October 3, Sunday October 4 and from 1030 to 1230 Monday October 5.

We're located in the Lorne Road Cemetery just off Warley Hill, come on over and say 'Hello'.

You'll get a chance to see our exhibition called 'Food glorious food' showcasing packaging and cooking utensils from times gone by.

And there is also our permanent collection to see too!!

Let's hope it's sunny tomorrow for our historical walk along Brentwood High Street.

Come rain or shine we will be at Brentwood Town Hall at 5pm.

The historical walk will leave from the Town Hall and head towards and walk along the High Street. It will last about an hour or so.

We'll start the walk at Brentwood Town Hall at 5pm.

The walk will last about an hour or so.

If you can't make those dates - perhaps organise a tour for your club or group!

We can accommodate all sorts of groups outside of our regular opening days and times, at a time to suit you.

One of our volunteers will act as a dedicated guide for your group, pointing out interesting items in the museum and helping you explore the grounds in the Lorne Road Cemetery.

The Brentwood Museum will be open this weekend. Come and see all our displays from times gone by.

We’ll be open on Saturday 5th, Sunday 6th and Monday 7th September. So pop along and say hello... here's when we're open:

Saturday - 2.30 until 4.30
Sunday - 2.30 until 4.30
Monday - 10.30 until 12.30
