3 days to go!!

The Gathering is nearly here! But we wouldn’t be able to have this magnificent day without the year round work of our committee, park team, society members and volunteers who put in hours of work behind the scenes to pull it all together. A big thank you to everyone!

But a special thank you goes to Graham and Robbie who for many years have made the heather ropes which adorn the Royal Box on Games day. As they step down for their duties, we have a new team literally ‘learning the ropes’ for next year. Thank you all!

Here’s the line up of Pipe Bands for Saturday ⬇️

Ballater and District Pipe Band
Perth and District Pipe Band
Kintore Pipe Band
Lonach Pipe Band
Huntly and District Pipe Band
Dunnottar Pipes and Drums
Blairgowrie, Rattray and District Pipe Band

The massed bands will play at 12pm, 3pm and 4pm in the arena.

This year, there will also be a specially formed youth massed pipe band made of Pipe Bands of the Army Cadets, Inverness Schools, Scout Scotland and Gordonstoun School. The youth massed band will play at 12.15pm and 3.15pm in the arena.

Is there anything better than the sound of the massed pipe bands at Braemar? 🎼🥁

Please remember to bring cash with you on the day, the mobile network will be under strain, it will help keep the queues down! Please note there is also no cash machine in Braemar at the moment.

Last minute pitches available! ⬇️

We still have some availability on the caravan park rally field at the side of Braemar Castle for caravans, motorhomes, campervans or tents who require a place to stay over Braemar Gathering Weekend.

There will be portable toilet cubicles, chemical empty point, fresh water tap, hired in night lighting and a member of staff based on the rally field for the duration of Friday lunchtime through to Sunday lunchtime. There are no electric hook ups or showers on the rally field.

If you wish to book one of the remaining spaces then please call the caravan park reception on 01339 741373.
