Halloween costume ideas, museum edition 🎃

Spooky season is well and truly here at the National Science and Media Museum, we’ve got a packed programme of horror classics over in Pictureville Cinema (including Hammer takeover for any Dracula fans 🧛) and a full day of free activities in the museum on Saturday 31 October.

WonderTots is back! ✨ The 50 Things To Do Before You’re Five team are taking over WonderLab Studio on Monday at 10.30-12.00 noon to host hands-on fun activities for little ones at our museum in Bradford.

Join in the fun for:

🎶 Making Music - Create music and instruments using household items.
🧑‍🎤 Dressing Up - Dress up like a rock star.
📸 Where Am I? - Take selfie in your costume to take home with you!
👶 Where Have I Gone? - Quiet sensory exploration for babies.
💥 Making Connections - Make some noise and a large ‘marble run’.
🎵 Rhyme Time - Let’s come together for rhyming fun for everyone!

Sessions will take place on:

Monday 7 October, 10.30—12.00 (last few tickets left!)

FREE Saturday family activities at the National Science and Media Museum continue with Design and Shine, part of our Setting the Stage events 🌟

Step into a world of sparkling costumes and wearable technology, and discover how light, materials and movement combine to help performers shine on stage.

Head to MakeSpace to create your own light up wristband to take home with you take part in our game show or strike a pose at our photo station in the foyer!

Wondertots is BACK! Join us on Monday 5 October (10.30 - 12.00) for a session led by .50thingstodo 🧸✨

These sessions are specially designed for under 5s, little visitors and their adults can expect plenty of playful activities, creative opportunities and ideas that can be easily recreated together at home.

Buggy parking is available and baby changing facilities can be found throughout the museum. Kids lunches are available at our café or you can bring your own food & drink and use one of the dedicated picnic spaces.
