We’ve had a shoal of fishies swim into store today as Ruth from has brought some work in progress with her.

The sun is back and glinting on the mackerel and tiddlers as Ruth adds the stitching after melding the plastics together.

If you’re out for a walk in beautiful Boscastle pop into our artisan collective and see what she’s up.

Open until 4.

It may be raining and blowing a hoolie but Tracy has brought some sunshine into the shop today. You can even see some of her works in progress.
The weather is set to clear shortly so a great time to come and blow the cobwebs away and see what’s in store.

Helen from is in the shop today. Between serving customers you might spot the odd bit of glass being cut and assembled.

Whilst predominately inspired by the ocean there are a few cheerful spring time pieces in store at the moment.

The village is coming to life as the cafes are opening and more shops are opening up too. Why not pop down for a mooch along to the harbour.

The weekend is closing in and the sun is shining here in Boscastle.

Denise is in n the shop ready to welcome you with a smile and happy to share any info about our amazing artists.

Denise is one half of Cornish Wood Works and together she and Alan create fab homewares from retired wine and whiskey barrels.

It’s def still the season for log baskets and nibbles by the fire but spring is approaching and this beach is perfect for a sunny nook.

In the shop today is Jeanette from . Her patchwork bags, pouches and accessories are made from retired fabric sample books; rescuing another useable resource from landfill.

A new product this year are these fab notebook covers with notebook and pencil

She also lovingly creates the most beautiful stained glass appliqué wall hangings. The colours are so vibrant and song of Cornish skies and sea.

Our artisan members have been so busy through January. These fabulous felt pictures are just a few examples of what’s been created.

These are from the lovely Mandy at MJ Felt and have fooled more than one person into thinking they are paintings.

Do you have a favourite? Why not pop in to see them in real life?

It’s the final countdown and Tracy and Anne are busy painting up what will become our new peg board displays…

You know those end stages of a project where you can’t imagine it all coming together in time?? Well that’s where we’re at…but we’re powering through!

Only a week ‘til we reopen after our refurbishments and we are so excited to announce a new member to the collective!

Trudy from will be bringing her fabulously bright and bold pots to add to all the beauty and colour you’ve come to know and love at Sea to Shore.

Trudy is fairly new to her craft but the quality of her pots is outstanding; you can feel the love that goes into making each and every one.

When planning this collective one of the things Laura and I were very keen to incorporate was the support and encouragement of new artists. On our shelves you will find a mix of those that have been making for years and those that have only recently started out, those that sell in several locations and those that are exclusive to us; all of them unique and all of them so very talented.

I hope you will join us in welcoming Trudy to the fold and pop along soon to check her work out in person.

All around we’re being told that it’s Blue Monday; the most depressing day of the year. But did you know it was all dreamed up just as a marketing ploy to sell more holidays??

I agree January can be hard, I mean what’s not hard about a month that’s 68 days long…but I choose to embrace the beauty of blues so here are some lovely blues from our fabulous makers.

Hope you enjoy. 💙 🩵 💙

It’s looking very different already.

It’s been one helluva a wild ride since the Sea to Shore Artisan Collective opened last summer; we geared up, strapped in and what an incredible six months it’s been!

And still it feels like we’re only just stepping out as we have so much more adventuring to come…it’s so exciting standing on the brink of the new year with so much uncharted territory before us.

Oh, the plans we have…

So; are you? Are you game to join us?

As we take a breath and prepare for the new season we are looking for a few more members to swell our ranks and and encourage this little emporium of ours to still further achievements and triumphs.

We are looking for dedicated artisans who passionately champion handmade arts and support fellow makers; artisans who want to muck in and be an active part of what makes us as a collective great.

If you live and work within striking distance of Boscastle and can commit two days a month to meeting the public and sharing what we do then please get in touch!

We can’t wait to meet you…

Eeek!

We’re now closed for our much needed decorating and reshuffle. The shop is emptying fast as our members come and collect their wares to make space for the ensuing shenanigans.

I hope we get this done quickly as it looks sad with empty shelves. But I’m so very excited to get cracking!

Can you believe it was only a year ago today that Mischief and I came to view this little shop for the first time!

And wow oh wow; what a ride it’s been! And we’ve achieved so much! That’s all thanks to the wonderful artisans that have become members and friends and all our lovely customers and neighbours and supporters both far and near.

Looking forward to what the next year brings…

Anne from is in the shop til 4 today and I caught her modelling one of seaweed prints. I think she captures the movement of the seaweed well…what do you think?

And did you know? Jo also makes the fabulous paper her seaweed is mounted you! Very talented lady.

We’re open everyday this week 11-4. But be quick, when we close Sunday afternoon that will bit it for a few weeks while we redecorate and jzuuzz the shop ready to reopen with a bang in February.

18/12/2024

A week to go to Christmas! Are you ready? Do you still have gifts to buy?

We are open daily 11-4 right up to Christmas Eve and still have heaps of beautiful artisan made items for you to fall in love with.

Do pop along, have a chat to our lovely artisan members and maybe even find something for yourself.

We even have some great workshops that will make a fabulous gift for those people that don’t want more stuff.
