I have been neglecting this page for a while. Here is some of the art of the talented Foundation Stage and KS1 children at Windhill21.

This week's project at the Arts and Maths club was Mandala. Originating from Tibet, Mandala symbolizes the balance and harmony in the Universe. The children used their imagination and knowledge of geometry (shapes and fractions), and I introduced the magic of carbon paper! The results are beautiful!

Symmetry in Snowflakes in the Arts and Maths club.
Last week we learned how to make snowflakes from plain square sheet of paper with easy folds and a few cuts.
Snowflake, like many things in nature, is symmetrical - its different parts match in size, shape, and position. The children got to see that in practice and to use their creativity.
