With proceeds from every sale supporting this fantastic local institution, you can now do your bit simply by drinking beer.

How good is that?

Available on the shelves at the Taproom now.

Introducing Double Vision, the latest collaboration between Billericay Brewery and the Cater Museum – a special pale amber ale brewed to celebrate one of Billericay’s most fascinating landmarks, the legendary two white-headed lamb.

Crafted using 100% natural ingredients, carefully selected malts, hops, water and yeast, Double Vision is a smooth 3.8% pale amber ale with subtle smoky notes, making it an easy-drinking beer that’s full of character and perfect for sharing.

Even better, every penny of profit from this collaboration goes directly back to the Cater Museum, helping to support this fantastic local community hub, preserve Billericay’s rich history and fund future exhibitions and events.

🎉 A huge thank you to those who came to our talk, Last Orders! I think the draw of air conditioning and beer samples (thank you to The Billericay Brewery) was too tempting to miss! 😉

🍺And yes, the rumours are true! We have joined forces with The Billericay Brewery to release a special Cater Museum beer. Double Vision, in honour of our two-headed lamb, will be first available at our fundraiser quiz! What do you think of the beer's logo?☺️

We have even more events coming up! The Cater Museum Fundraising Quiz Night is this Friday, and we’d love to see you there!

Unfortunately, we've had to close the museum again today. The temperature inside the museum yesterday nearly reached 35c and it's predicted to be hotter today!

Has anyone spotted the Bata ghost sign?

The Bata shoe shop occupied 90 High Street in the 1950s and 1960s. Famously, the Bata company built a huge estate in East Tilbury that featured the shoe factory, workers' houses, an espresso bar, a cinema, a supermarket, a shoe shop (naturally!), a farm, and a hotel. Also included in the estate was a swimming pool, football pitches, and tennis and netball courts! More information can be found at the Bata Heritage Centre.
