The Space & Place Programme is a £15million, 5 year capital grants project that seeks to provide an opportunity for local communities to come together to identify a shared vision for their area and work together to deliver it. The programme is funded by the BIG Lottery Fund, and managed by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Pub

lic Health Agency, NI Environmental Link, Rural Community Network and Groundwork NI. Space & Place will support the integration of communities, across various divides in Northern Ireland, Through the development of local space and place. By prioritising enhanced use of space and resources, it will help build community capacity within and between communities, address isolation and support change through the transformation to safer, more user-friendly and useful spaces for individuals, families and communities.

Space & Place launch - Corran Community Association

A new community facility has opened in Corran as a local group completes renovation work on a hall originally built in 1934 thanks to support from #NationalLottery players. Corran Community Association received £349,000 initial funding from the Big Lottery Fund NI funded Space & Place Programme and have created a vital new space for local people living in a rural part of Armagh! This film gives a flavour of the fantastic opening night and what the new facility means to the community!
