The date on this photo is 7 Aug 1966 but is just called "water skiing". Does anyone know if this was part of a larger event? There is quite a large crowd watching and I can't make out the ship in the bay.

I have added a further historical account of Ballycastle to the site at https://www.ballycastlehistory.com/ballycastle-an-historical-survey.html This appears to have been written by Hugh A boyd relatively early in his career judging by the number of fairs he mentions and the reference to "hideous shack dwellings" along the Antrim coast.
