My name is Karolina, I am Polish, recently doing my art in Northern Irland, Belfast.
I am freelance artists trawling for an experience and influence, based in Belfast. I like to think that I create original and thought-provoking work, which may be aesthetically pleasing but it is shocking, or disruptive, through a variety of media.
My art is influenced by growing up in a place, where the past and modern crashed against each other. I did my study at a wonderful and historical city south of Poland, Krakow. That stays with my art when I am a focus on the spirit behind any subject. My art has been influenced by complicated and often difficult past carried by my surroundings and eventually by my unstopped travel because life for me is travel.
I specialize in warty of medium as watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed media, and concentrate in particular on landscapes or abstract art, but enjoy work laterally across subjects, mediums and even disciplines to explore ideas in unexpected ways and make original connections.
I could be commissioned to produce a piece of work and I am enjoying creating my own pieces, which I sell on. I am wildly engaged in a creative researches practice, contributing to knowledge via material and conceptual explorations.
My other activities include running art workshops and getting involved with community art projects and applying creative problem-solving strategies in a wide range of contemporary contexts.
