✨ What an incredible six months! ✨

From April to September, our pop-up gallery at Festival Place brought together 47 talented artists, welcomed 10,324 visitors and saw 477 artworks and creative items find new homes. 🎨❤️

We hosted exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, community groups and creative activities — creating a space that became so much more than a gallery.

We’re incredibly proud of what we achieved together and, most importantly, grateful to every artist, visitor, volunteer, community group and supporter who helped make it happen.

🎄 And we’re not finished yet! We’ll soon be back with a fresh collection of new artworks from local artists, exhibiting until Christmas. More details coming very soon! ✨

Thank you for being part of our journey! ❤️

🎨 A Gallery, A Community & A New Chapter Ahead!

I’m incredibly proud to have been coordinating Basingstoke Art House Gallery at Festival Place, bringing together talented local artists and creating a space where art, creativity and community can connect - sponsored by The Artist's Window!

What began as an empty retail unit has been transformed into a vibrant 650m² gallery, showcasing the work of more than 25 local artists, alongside workshops, community activities and special events. It has been an amazing journey — and seeing visitors discover and connect with local creativity has made it all worthwhile. ❤️

📅 26 September will be our final day in the large Festival Place unit, marking the end of a very special chapter.

But this is not the end! ✨ We’re already looking ahead to our next space, where we’ll continue exhibiting local artists’ work and hosting exciting new art events, workshops and community activities. 🎨

Thank you to every artist, visitor, volunteer and supporter who has been part of this journey. Here’s to the next chapter! 🥂

✨ We’re in the magazine! 🎨🖼️

We’re absolutely delighted to see Basingstoke Art House Gallery featured in the latest issue of North Hampshire Lifestyle! ❤️
The article celebrates our journey from an empty retail space at Festival Place into a vibrant hub for local creativity, community and connection.
Since opening in April, we’ve had the pleasure of showcasing the work of over 30 local artists, welcoming visitors, hosting exhibitions, creative workshops and community events, and creating a space where artists and art lovers can meet and share their passion.

We’re especially proud that our gallery has become more than just an exhibition space — it’s a place where people can discover art, meet the makers, hear the stories behind the work and get creative themselves. 🎨✨

A huge thank you to our sponsor The Artist's Window, and everyone who has visited, supported our artists, attended our events and helped make this journey possible. This recognition truly belongs to our wonderful creative community. ❤️

🎨 Meet Barry Sears

I’d like to introduce you to Barry, a talented painter working with oils and mixed media.

After a career in Finance, Barry returned to his artistic journey in 2022, following his passion and formal training at the Milan Art Institute.
What I love about Barry’s work is his fearless approach to colour and experimentation. He often begins with chaos — expressive marks, layers and vibrant colours — and gradually transforms it into something full of depth, light and harmony.
His paintings remind us that beauty can be found within the unexpected. ✨🎨

Come and discover Barry’s work at The Basingstoke Art House Gallery. 🖼️
