Well, it's all set up..my first solo exhibition in the Space Gallery the Ards Craft Centre. There's no official opening, just wander in during office hours..open till the 25th.

Last two events of the year...the Makers Market in the lovely Belmont Tower Belfast Friday and Saturday.. then the open Studio event Five Create at Studio 8 on Sunday... The pottery elves are busy packing and getting everything ready!

The first picture from the amazing woodfiring course in Devon. I learned so much. The potter is such a part of the process, splitting wood, stacking it, doing day and night shifts stoking the kiln with great company and Conversations.
The pot has its story to tell too. This pot was buried in the embers of the kiln, exposed to the element of fire, hitting a temperature of 1300 degrees, where it fused with the ashes and debris around it, looking like it has a story of abandonment and discovery on the ocean bed.

Went up to the Seamus Heaney Homeplace yesterday.. great to see my work on display in this amazing place. Definitely worth a visit, sure it's good enough for royalty, there was a Prince there a few days ago!

Great new cafe opening in Bangor very soon. it's called The Drawing Room. It's beside Alternative ink on Gray's hill.
They asked me to make their cups and saucers... I haven't made saucers for many many moons, but delivery was today and they liked them😁

Busy weekend.. I have a bus tour calling tomorrow,
Craft in the hub on Saturday, There are a few fairs on on Saturday... But I chose this one... It is in Bangor after all!!
Sunday is open Studio...
My studio is open from 2.00 till 4.30... Sure drop in if you are out and about!!

Well. It has happened. I am a very happy Potter. My work was chosen by the British Ambassador to Thailand for his Ambassadorial gifts. Here it is with specially made presentation boxes ready to be given to dignitaries in Thailand.

Sharon Regan makes incredibly life-like sculptures of hares horses donkeys and birds. If you come up today she is working on a squirrel sculpture.
