Did you know that turnips used to be the pre-pumpkin preferred vegetable at this time of year?

It is thought that carving turnips came from an old folk tale about a man named Jack who was cursed to roam the earth with only a burning coal inside a hollowed-out turnip to light the way – the original jack ‘o’ lanterns.

We’ll be transforming turnips at our Autumn Fest event on Sunday 29th October from 11am to 3pm. As well as toasting marshmallows, creating leaf craft and lots more! Come along to our family fun day to celebrate all things Autumnal!

The weather was glorious and the day was a wonderful celebration for Abi & Lawrie surrounded by their friends and family.
