Wick Gallery in Arundel, West Sussex

We have an amazing space in the rafters of a 16th Century building in the heart of Arundel, West Sussex. Wick Gallery shares the space with Squibbly Biskit, the renown children’s clothes and toy shop, and opens with a display of works by local artist Frances Knight. On display is a collection of canvases depicting Autumnal scenes mainly from the South Downs National Park as well as further afield,

Exploring the effect of light, colour and structure in the landscape, Frances Knight’s paintings demonstrate a clear impressionist influence. First embodying the late 19th Century ‘en plein air’ approach by painting on location, Knight then returns to her studio to explore further the abstract effects of shape and colour harmonies.
