I went home to Wales for the weekend, and visited my local town - the Monnow Bridge is the last remaining medieval fortified river bridge, still with its gate tower on top!

Hopefully the sun will be shining for the second of the Mid Ulster Hidden Heritage tours!

This week’s tour takes place in Cookstown, leading you through the hustle and bustle of the longest main street in Northern Ireland! Listen to your guide and discover the stories of the founding of the town, the historic markets and fairs, and the buildings which once stood there.

You may also be lucky enough to meet one of the local residents, visiting the town for a very special reason…

Today I was joined by my youngest passengers so far onboard the RMS Titanic - the P3/4 class of Ballytrea Primary School!

All the children were dressed wonderfully for their journey in the first class quarters…

I also had a lovely visit today to the beautiful Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre to finalise details for this year’s summer tours on the 12th July!

We also discussed the Christmas tours which are set to take place on the 6th December - lots of exciting plans falling into place…

The Victorian Tours at Oldbridge House will be my second set of public summer tours - you can also find me at the Visit Mid Ulster Hidden Heritage Tours in Cookstown on 20th June, and in Magherafelt on the 27th July for the final Hidden Heritage Tour.

A great visit to St Eoghan's Primary School, Moneyneena. yesterday for a ‘Step Onboard the Titanic’ with the P5/6 class!

The children met with Victoria Smith to learn all about life in 1912 on the RMS Titanic…
