We received these amazing mushrooms from this week. Organic and cultivated with real grit and passion in the hills near Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway.
Our first dishes are a mushroom medley starter with a mushroom-miso purée, potato gnocchi, our own radishes and herbs. Shows off the mushrooms without smothering their flavour - one guest said that every bite was both delicious and different. Next dish is a beautiful fillet of pan-fried halibut with Cava butter sauce, lobster pomme dauphine and a selection of king, sakura and blue-grey oyster mushrooms. We have been waiting to pair halibut with these mushrooms so it is an exciting day. Happy chefs - happy guests!

What a funny Sunday. Sunshine during the day made the new cocktails very popular. Long refresher drinks were very popular. First up is a tray of Spring Spritz on its way to a table, made with El Bandarra, rhubarb syrup, sparkling wine, fresh ruby red grapefruit juice and pretty garnishes! Second tray contains our Adonis cocktail (bartender favourite) with Manzanilla and rosé vermouth, plus a Negroni and a Bicycle Thief (gin, campari, grapefuit juice, simple syrup, soda).
We are fans of vermouth, amaro and Campari so expect more experiments with fabulous ingredients.

New cocktails! Spring Spritz & Bicycle Thief. Both based around freshly squeezed grapefruit.

This much loved Dory favourite was sold today and is off to a new home!
The painting by was inspired by a trip to the East Neuk and the rock skerries that are so visible at low tide - where the lobsters live!!
The oil painting is simply called “East”.
We are thrilled for the new owner and Melanie. Her work is incredible and we do have some more!!!

We are featured in a very lovely review in online today by Claire Sawers. So pleased to get this review and recognition for all our lovely team. A paper version will be out tomorrow (Good Friday!).
Lots of fantastic local produce mentioned including bluefin tuna from and uchiri kuri squash from . The review is based in early autumn as the menu choices include those particular items and they are not in season at the moment.
Thanks to all our suppliers for fab ingredients and guests for choosing to dine with us.
Thank you to The Times and Claire.

A few of the team spent the Dory’s 6th Birthday at Annual Wine Tasting at Murrayfield. We met up with ‘El Grande’ Antonio from which is always a very fun part of the event.
