It left him with Aphasia and a limited connection to the outside world. But in the quiet of his garden studio, a space where he is most at peace, he began to paint.

Ten years ago, my husband Mike had a life-changing stroke. It left him with aphasia and a limited connection to the outside world. But something incredible happened in the quiet of his little garden studioā€¦

He began to paint. Something he had never done before.

Now, painting has become his voice ā€” a new talent discovered later in life, completely by surprise.

This is his more recent piece, called ā€œStillness in Autumnā€ šŸ‚ā›µ
