While Billy, the 8 year old border collie, worked hard for a treat, Mum and Dad enjoyed afternoon tea in our snug. 👍🏻🙋😋

Have you ever eaten a 6 egg-omelette, packed with ham and cheese? 🥩🧀🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚😂

Well, today was a first for us. 😲 We have prepared a 6 egg scrambled-egg before, but never something on this scale. 😲😋👍🏻

Anyway, it took 2 kitchen utensils just to get the omelette out of the frying pan. It turned out to require the effort of 2 of our team. 😂👍🏻

A regular customer of ours thoroughly enjoyed his brunch 😋......and then got caught studying our cake table. Did he or didn't he succumb? 😂🍰🤷

The Rocky is open every day of the year for homemade, locally sourced food and cake......and of course Pilgrims coffee. 😋👍🏻🙋☕🍰

As you can see, refreshments are available to a wide range of customers, some of whom travel from far and wide to get here. 😂👍🏻🐦‍⬛

We also welcomed a family who specifically travelled up from Newcastle for a Rocky 'experience'. The lady of the family used to be an environmental health officer for the council and she gave her visit a big thumbs up. 👍🏻🙋🥂♥️

It has been another busy day here today, but the beach is calling our meeters and greeters now. So we must be off. 😂🏖️👍🏻🐕‍🦺♥️

We had such a lovely day here at the Rocky - the sun shone nearly all day 🌞, we were rather busy until mid afternoon and we welcomed lots of fabulous dogs (several of whom got to play together in our top garden). 👍🏻🐕‍🦺♥️

It makes such a difference when customers get to enjoy the sun, garden and fabulous views. ♥️

We have been inactive on Instagram of late, but have now recruited a young lady to help in this regard. 👍🏻 We always have lots of lovely moments and stories to share - so watch this space. 🙋🥂

No two days are ever the same in hospitality. 🤷😂

We have had a couple of steady days this week, but then we came back to life yesterday, when we had a real influx for lunch and that carried on with coffee and cake all afternoon. 👍🏻☕🍰

But, it did give us the chance to cut the grass, do loads of weeding, a few small repairs and more painting. 😂👍🏻

A day in the life of a meeter and greeter. 🙏🐕‍🦺♥️

We hope you are thoroughly enjoying this fabulous weather. 🙏🌞 It certainly lifts one's spirits. ♥️

It has been a pretty busy couple of days. 👍🏻 The amazing weather drives some people down to the beach 🏖️ and others to the best dog friendly cafe in Northumberland. 😂👍🏻🙋🐕‍🦺

We have a number of photos to put on here tonight, along with the winner of our cake competition. Sorry, we should have announced that several days ago. 🎂🤷

Some of you may think that being a meeter and greeter is an easy job. 🐕‍🦺 They are specially selected dogs, then they are put through an intensive training schedule and finally put to work under strict supervision. 😂 Then, at the end of a busy day, we get a bit of down time and unwind from all that has happened during their Rocky day. 🙏👍🏻🐕‍🦺♥️

As we start to gear up for the summer season, we are seeing a steady increase in the number of customers through our doors. 👍🏻🙋☕

That includes our four-legged friends of course. 😂👍🏻🐕‍🦺♥️

So, this week, we have had 4 birthday celebrations, a wedding party breakfast celebration and 3 couples each bringing in 4 well behaved dogs (separately of course 😂). We have also seen some lovely sunsets, but that is nothing new. 😲🌛🌠

It was also really lovely to see a young customer returning with his Father and Grandfather. So 3 generations at the Rocky. 🙏 How special is that? ♥️🥂

There are a number of things going on in the background at the moment, and one of them is something that will transform the Rocky. 😲 We can't say any more at the moment, but the whole team is very excited about the future plans. (It obviously involves dogs 🐕‍🦺 😂😂😂🥂👍🏻).

We are now seeing an increase in customers at Basanti, now that the weather is getting warmer. Have you popped your head into the barn yet? 🔥👍🏻🎁

It's been a busy time here at the Rocky, so we have got plenty of photos to upload tonight. 👍🏻🙋📸

In the meantime, we will always find time to video meetings between little Rocky 🐕‍🦺 and newcomer Martha, an adorable 10 week old cavapoochon. Her first experience after her first vaccination. 😂🎥🐕‍🦺♥️

It's been a great week for dogs, here at the Rocky. 🐕‍🦺♥️

So much so, that we haven't had time to go through all the photos yet. 📸😲 We hope to rectify that tonight. 🐕‍🦺♥️👍🏻😂

In the meantime, the cafe has been steadily busy........with some very busy moments. 🥂 There is a rumour going round that we bake the best homemade cakes in the county. 😲 We obviously believe these rumours to be true, but you will need to find out for yourselves. 😂😋🍰♥️

These are three of our most popular cakes. But can you tell what they are? 😋🍰 We will serve a free Pilgrims coffee and a piece of homemade cake to the entrant with the nearest guess. ☕🍰 Obviously, if you are Rocky regulars, you will stand more chance of winning, BUT one of them is new. 😂👍🏻🍰
