The “Missing of the Somme” database holds information and photographs on many of the men whose names are inscribed on the Thiepval Memorial. Specially created for the Visitor Centre, it is updated periodically. (2024 = 16,700)
In the heart of the Somme battlefields the Historial de la Grande Guerre has museums at both Thiepval and Peronne. In 2016 the THIEPVAL MUSEUM opened as an extension to the Visitor Centre. Thiepval Adult – 6€ Combined ticket: Thiepval and Historial – 12€

This permanent 400m2 exhibition presents a collection of artefacts, archaeological finds, and multimedia displays. In pride of place the 60-metre-long mural by Joe Sacco, opens an imaginary window onto the 1st July 1916 battlefield. Before entering the museum activate Wi-Fi on your phone. (optional)

Le centre d'accueil a ouvert le 1er juillet 2004. Il s'agit d'un projet franco-britannique. Il est géré par l'Historial de la Grande Guerre, situé à Péronne. Nouveau 1er juillet 2016 -THIEPVAL MUSÉE

L’exposition permanente d’environ 400m2 réunit pièces de collections, objets archéologiques, outils multimédias et installation grandeur nature (réplique de l’avion de Georges Guynemer). La grande fresque (60 mètres de long) dessinée par Joe Sacco ouvre une fenêtre imagée sur le champ de bataille du 1er juillet 1916. Le Mémorial de Thiepval est situé à seulement 200 mètres.
