🇺🇸 "OMAHA BEACH. LST's unload at low tide at one time on D-Day plus. The Beach was pretty well-established at this time. New roads were put in and the only danger from the enemy was slight air attacks at night. Some of the wreckage from D-Day still lies on the beach as you can see. The string of ships sunk off shore on the left was sunk purposely to make a breakwater. The sinking of these ships was operation 'Gooseberry.' The building of the floating docks running from the beach was operation 'Mulberry.' The barrage balloons in the air are attached to the LST's. The LST's are unloading on the EASY sector of Omaha Beach. The LST at the left is approximately at 'Easy Red'. The 'Easy' sector of the beach was operated by the 5th Engineer Special Brigade of the U.S. First Army. Colonel Gallant commanded the 5th ESB and later Colonel Bridges took over the command."

🇫🇷"Les LST déchargent à marée basse après le Jour J. À ce moment-là, la plage était déjà bien établie. De nouvelles routes avaient été aménagées, et le seul danger venant de l’ennemi était de légères attaques aériennes nocturnes. Certains débris du Jour J sont encore visibles sur la plage. La ligne de navires coulés au large sur la gauche a été volontairement sabordée pour former une digue. Le sabordage de ces navires faisait partie de l’opération 'Gooseberry'. La construction des quais flottants partant de la plage relevait de l’opération 'Mulberry'. Les ballons de barrage dans le ciel sont attachés aux LST. Ces LST déchargent sur le secteur EASY d’Omaha Beach. Le LST tout à gauche se trouve approximativement à 'Easy Red'. Le secteur 'Easy' d’Omaha Beach était géré par la 5e Brigade Spéciale du Génie de la Première Armée américaine. Le colonel Gallant commandait la 5e BSG, puis le colonel Bridges lui a succédé."
