Galerie Eric Mouchet is pleased to present the very first solo exhibition of French artist Samir Mougas in its Brussels space. Entitled ‘Hard Edge, Soft Core’, the exhibition brings together sculptures, ceramics and paintings, and marks a significant milestone in the artist’s career: it is the first time these different practices are shown simultaneously, revealing in full the coherence of a visual language that is both rich and singular.
‘There’s Never Nothing Happening Here’ introduces British artist Alexander Gorlizki to Brussels audiences in his first solo show at the gallery. Alexander Gorlizki’s paintings are the fruit of a fertile imagination shaped by his deep engagement with both Indian and Western iconography. His works — at once absurd and fascinating — draw on references as varied as embroidery and the art of topiary, the textile patterns of South-East Asia, the great masters of 20th-century photography, Victorian tool catalogues, and the pictorial tradition of the Indian miniature.
