Clara Rivault explores a range of complex traditional techniques associated with the fire arts, including bronze, glass, and porcelain. Specializing in stained glass, she engages in a time-intensive creative process that begins with photographic sampling, which she then fragments, recomposes, and crystallizes into narratives where mythology and reality intertwine.

[SOON - RUE CHAPON] Opening on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 3 pm to 8 pm, the group show “30 ans et plus” (30 years and more) brings together artists represented by the gallery who today embody its history and identity, until July 25,2026

Les filles du calvaire celebrates more than 30 years of commitment to contemporary creation. Yet this exhibition does not look back on a completed journey; rather, it affirms a living continuity. 30 years and more is not a retrospective. It is a statement of intent, that of a gallery whose purpose is to support artists and promote contemporary artistic practices.

Drawing on references to fluidity and hybridity, the artist questions identity constructions and the normative narratives that underpin them. His approach articulates formal research with critical reflection, seeking to subvert hierarchies of value, blur systems of interpretation, and overturn imposed classifications. In doing so, he unfolds a visual thinking of the margins, attentive to the forms of power embedded in representations.

[PRESS] « Abdelhak Benallou is a painter of a kind no longer made. Or rather, he is a painter who is timidly re-emerging from the wreckage of conceptual art. He is a devotee of the great masters who filled our museums with trompe l’œil art. Abdelhak Benallou reveres the Old Masters and has placed himself outside the world and its fashions in order to invent his own motionless universe beneath the blue glow of screens. » 🖋️ , in

[SOON - RUE DES FILLES DU CALVAIRE] Opening on Tuesday 5, May, from 6 to 9 pm, a solo exhibition by

Lily of the Valley
Exhibition from May 5 to June 20, 2026

The gallery invites Michel Jocaille for his first solo exhibition, entitled Lily of the Valley. The artist draws on lily of the valley (the flower of May Day) as a motif that is both tender and charged. A small white bell offered at the threshold of spring, it carries the memory of workers’ struggles as much as that of popular interiors. Originally from the textile basin of Northern France, the artist weaves a dialogue between industrial heritage and cultural matrimony. To the factories respond gestures learned in the domestic sphere: from crochet to knitting looms to needlepoint. Repetitive, patient practices long relegated to the decorative, which the exhibition brings back to the center in order to conceive of textiles as traces of productive valleys. Glass captures fragility, and the motif repeats, like a heartbeat.

[ART PARIS] For the gallery presents a booth dedicated to artists: .rougier .qi

For this new edition of Art Paris, the gallery brings together artists whose aim is to lead the viewer as close as possible to a reality that remains impossible to grasp. Through a range of approaches rooted in histories, myths, and distinctly contemporary sensibilities, their works suggest how our era, layered with narratives and meanings, can both shape us and lead us astray.

Artist is featured in the Babel sector, Art and Language in France, curated by as part of the A perspective on the French art scene.

“Abdelhak Benallou’s attraction to the classics (from Van Eyck to Ingres, including Velázquez and Rembrandt) stems, among other things, from a fascination with chiaroscuro, a taste for storytelling, and the art of portraiture, with a strong focus on the painted figure. However, the artist hybridizes and transforms this classicism into a modernity that takes liberties with some of its conventions. This is evident in aspects such as perspective or framing. Some figures are depicted from the back, in profile, or in a tightly cropped close-up on a large scale, creating a tension between presence and distance. Others are set against plain backgrounds or in pared-down compositions where geometric forms (here a door, there a window) seem indebted to abstraction. These compositions tend to fragment the representation of the body, while also isolating it and placing it in an uncertain space that plays on a strange relationship between interior and exterior. Finally, the lighting, of course, relies on chiaroscuro, but one that is neither mystical nor candlelit; rather, it emerges from a sophisticated use of screens, through which the artist manipulates colors such as blue, green, and red. This artificial light evokes both the cinematic palette and digital media, including computers and smartphones. [...]”
