Join us on Saturday 5 September from 5pm for the opening of Portuguese artist João Vilhena's new solo show, 'Predizione Perdizione', on view from 5 to 30 September across our two Parisian venues.
This opening is part of the event 'La rentrée des galeries rue Chapon', bringing together several galleries across the Marais and inviting visitors to discover their new exhibitions.
_
The exhibition presents a series of drawings that draw us into fantastical and hybrid visions of catastrophe, inhabited predominantly by human figures: reflective, active, or lost within the chaos.

From 25 August, our Paris venues will reopen for the final days of 'Secrets géométriques'. This solo exhibition by Italian-Austrian artist Esther Stocker ha been extended until 29 August.
_
At first glance, Esther Stocker’s work appear to embody a stable, almost relentless order. They are organized according to precise systems built from endlessly repeating modules that establish an apparently regular visual rhythm. Yet this order is never fixed. Subtle shifts, discreet ruptures, and anomalies disturb the composition and alter its reading.

Save the date for our September exhibition in Paris!
'Predizione Perdizione', a solo show by Portuguese artist João Vilhena, will be on view from 5 September to 30 September.
_
Following the exhibitions at Alberta Pane Gallery in Venice in 2025 and the Musée Fesch – Palais des Beaux-Arts in Ajaccio in 2026, this third presentation of the drawing series 'Predizione Perdizione' brings together a selection of large-scale works alongside a new group of smaller-format drawings. Created using black stone on grey cardboard, these works explore historical memory and contemporary concerns through a dialogue between past and present.

- Artist's Updates -

Argentinian artist Luciana Lamothe is currently featured in the duo exhibition 'Global Identity', presented in the context of the 'Stills of Peace and Everyday Life' project by the Aria Foundation at the Cisterns of Palazzo Acquaviva in Atri, Teramo, Italy. Her works enter into dialogue with those of Italian artist Nicola Samorì.
_
Curated by Giovanna Dello Iacono and Maria Letizia Paiato, the exhibition puts in dialogue Argentina and Italy, represented by the two artists, formally and visually distant and radically different in their expressive language. Lamothe draws on Brutalist architecture and industrial sculpture, moving between minimalism and urban construction systems, increasingly oriented toward penetrating the spatial dynamics of societal control.

- Paris -

From 31 July to 24 August, our Paris galleries will be closed for the summer break.
Today is the last day to visit 'Secrets géométriques', the solo exhibition by Italian-Austrian artist Esther Stocker, before our summer closure.
We will reopen on 25 August, and the exhibition will remain on view until 29 August.
_
In this exhibition, featuring new paintings and sculptures, the artist plays with the mechanisms of perception and reveals the fragility of the frameworks we perceive as stable.
_
We look forward to welcoming you back after the summer holidays, with exciting new projects ahead!

- Artist’s Updates -

Argentine artist Luciana Lamothe is submitting her installation proposal 'Steal Tool, Still' for the High Line Plinth in New York. The sculpture, made of three different pieces - two pipes and a clamp - retains the functional logic of scaffolding. It is fabricated using the same industrial materials and methods as standard clamps and iron pipes, and manipulated through Lamothe’s characteristic processes.
_
The transformation of scaffolding elements into a landmark within New York, a city that holds the record for the longest-standing scaffolding shed, underscores the power such objects exert over how people experience, perceive, and understand the world.
