It’s summer heat: who doesn’t crave something fresh?

With “Impermanence”, Rayou turns that impulse into a subtle silhouette, where the pear becomes a fleeting echo of the body, poised between presence and disappearance.

Glass, dots, gaze.

“SIMONA” by

Glass art
70 × 50 cm

A face emerging from the transparency of glass, built from a constellation of black dots. A frontal, determined gaze cuts through the surface like an engraving in light : every impact a heartbeat, every silence a pocket of inner shadow.

Abraham Papikyan turns glass into a field of memory and identity: a manifesto-portrait where patience and repetition carve presence.

De Medicis Gallery is delighted to welcome Abraham Papikyan to its roster of artists.

Born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1983, Papikyan developed his artistic practice out of a constant dialogue with form, material, and visual expression.

Working with glass as both medium and subject, he introduces impact as a decisive gesture. What appears as destruction becomes a process of revelation : fractures that follow no predefined path, but emerge through tension and release, capturing a singular and unrepeatable moment.

Each piece holds the trace of a real event, preserved within the surface of glass.
His works are now on view at the gallery.
