For Frieze London 2026, Galerie Jocelyn Wolff is pleased to present 𝘈𝘓𝘛𝘐𝘊𝘏 (OLD I), a monumental 24-part room installation by Swiss artist Miriam
Cahn, bringing together works made between 1974 and 2020.

Cahn’s room installations (Rauminstallationen) are conceived as indivisible environments, in which paintings and drawings are brought together within a single space to create a layered narrative of interconnected themes and meanings.

The installation explores recurring themes in Cahn’s practice, including the aging female body, identity, memory, violence, and the human consequences of war and displacement. Bringing together vulnerable yet confrontational female figures — including representations of the artist herself — Cahn reflects on the relationship between lived experience, aging, and the body.

The installation also incorporates her 1974 self-portrait, connecting her earliest work to her ongoing artistic investigation of how life and conflict leave their mark on the body.

On the occasion of Art Basel Paris, the Fondation Le Corbusier invites Katinka Bock to intervene in the Maison La Roche.

This major exhibition, titled 𝘏𝘐𝘎𝘏 𝘈𝘕𝘋 𝘋𝘙𝘠, will bring together a wide selection of works — sculptures qnd photographs — over the course of three weeks, entering into dialogue with this manifesto house, a true laboratory for Le Corbusier’s architectural thinking. As the first sculptor invited to intervene in the Maison La Roche, Bock presents a project conceived in dialogue with its architecture and the principles that underpin it.

Sensuality and physicality, 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗼𝗹𝗶’s pictures have both intensively, but nothing about it is intrusive, too much or pornographic. His figures - just recognizable as such - are painted in different shades of red and colors and skins, they suggest body openings and sexual characteristics, they are not Picasso-like cannibalistic intertwined, but physically relate to each other. Nothing is brutally declined, but nothing is left blurred in the approximate.

De Paoli, born in Buenos Aires in 1978, masters the fine balance between abstraction and formulation. A certain naivety also plays a role, it is touching in a way that is rarely expected or allowed in art. Painting is one that you can talk about in Santiago de Paoli’s art and also be amazed, the other is the disarming openness of his pictures. They are vulnerable like a cracked shell. No, like one that has opened.

« Aby Warburg called it Nachleben, afterlife: a gesture that outlives the body which first made it, lying dormant for centuries before it resurfaces, still charged, in a body that has never heard of it. Images survive their occasion. They travel, they wait, they come back altered. Nothing here is lifted whole and held up for recognition; that would be appropriation, which needs the source remembered in order to work. This is closer to inheritance: unchosen, unrefusable, arriving whether or not it was asked for. Each artist is a place where an image, a gesture, or a grammar re-enters the world in a form its origin would not recognise.
Prinz Gholam anchor the exhibition. Their drawings are made by two people at once, four hands on one sheet, with no plan; what surfaces comes from memory rather than reference, and the same rabbit keeps returning across sheets like something the hands can’t stop reaching for. It arrives already carrying weight.

This enigmatic and surreal title is borrowed from a series of paintings made using a variety of unconventional materials: wood, copper, cork stoppers, dried leaves, and even peanuts.

Santiago de Paoli continues his painterly exploration, in which images seem to emerge from a dream or a fragmentary memory populated by moons, landscapes, bodies, domestic objects, and organic forms. Oscillating between nature, magic, and abstraction, these elements are permeated by a constant tension between humour, poetry, and strangeness.

𝘙𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘰𝘵 brings together a new body of monumental works, presented for the first time. The exhibition marks a new stage in the artist’s practice, in which the materiality of the works becomes an increasingly open field of experimentation.

𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 Born in Buenos Aires in 1978, Santiago de Paoli lives and works in Stanford, New York. Recent solo exhibitions include Inside the Red Barn at OSMOS Station (2022); A leaf in the wind at Galerie Jocelyn Wolff, Paris-Romainville (2021); Bebê Rasteja at Mendes Wood DM, São Paulo (2019–2020); Entre nosotros y el objeto at Móvil (2016); Pescado y Papas at Wireless Ridge (2015); and The New Society at Swan Coach House Gallery (2007).

His work has also been presented in numerous group exhibitions, including at Site SANTA FE 12th International (2025), the X Museum (2021), the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires (2019), the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco – Villa Paloma (2018), the Musée d’art contemporain de la Haute-Vienne – Château de Rochechouart (2018), and Lulu Gallery (2017).
