What if humanity had defeated death?

If fewer souls ascended, what would become of the beings charged with guiding them? off-duty seraphim begins with this hypothesis.
Released from their duty, the seraphim descend into the world they once watched from above. They linger in forests and familiar places, witnessing the intimate and the catastrophic alike. Two moons rise together in the sky: nothing has visibly changed, yet something, somewhere, has shifted.

The exhibition brings together pietra dura, tapestries, oil paintings, bronze and sculpture. Each work begins with artificial intelligence models trained by aurèce vettier on his own archives, before being translated into matter through traditional métiers d’art. Durable materials are asked to hold what cannot last: smoke, clouds, comets and bodies made of light and computer code.

Death gives shape to things. It makes time perceptible and lends weight to what comes before it. These seraphim return to the finite, leaving us with a quiet task: to look again at the world we have.

Nothing stays where it should.
In his paintings, Swann Ronné explores instability, displacement, and the fragile balance between structure and unpredictability. Repeated bands, zones, and fields of colour appear to follow an established order, yet something systematically shifts: a change in tone, a slight displacement, a variation that unsettles the entire composition.
This tension extends into the material itself. Working with highly diluted washes of paint, Ronné allows colour to spread, flow, and partially escape the control of the gesture. His practice lies in containing this freedom without neutralising it, bringing together precision and overflow, constraint and spontaneity.
Neither strictly figurative nor conceptual, the works invite projection and personal interpretation. The feeling of never being entirely in the right place - of constantly searching, moving, and rebuilding a sense of balance - resonates with a contemporary experience of mobility, where greater freedom of movement also makes the very notion of “place” increasingly unstable.
With Nothing Stays Where It Should, Swann Ronné creates a space where order is never fixed and where the smallest shift is enough to transform the whole.

Mémoires Carbone : Atramentum

A solo exhibition by

Some forms travel through time.
Through a sensitive and experimental photographic practice, Maxime Passadore explores the classical forms and sacred symbols that continue to resonate across centuries. Neo-archaeological fragments, contemporary artefacts, and reimagined relics compose a body of work where past and present converge.
The title Atramentum refers to the carbon-black ink of antiquity, historically associated with writing, the preservation of knowledge, and the transmission of stories. Here, it becomes a material of revelation, absorbing light and directing the gaze toward the image and its evocative power.
At the heart of the exhibition, a series dedicated to the Assyrian Lamassu explores the dialogue between ancient craftsmanship and contemporary creation through photogravure on copper and the transformative effects of oxidation.
With Mémoires Carbone : Atramentum, Maxime Passadore investigates the mystery of sacred figures and the narratives that continue to shape our collective imagination.
It is not the artworks that cross the centuries, but the stories they inspire.
