Galerie Hervé Bize Galerie d'art contemporain Thus Hervé Bize opened his art gallery when he was 22 years old, an age people usually dedicate to school.

The gallery is located in central Nancy, close to the historical “place Stanislas”. Between 1989 and 1992 there was only one room dedicated to the exhibitions, but nowadays, the gallery owns several rooms opening directly on a yard. In 1994 a renovation work revealed frescos from the “Art Nouveau” period. The gallery first focused on the organization of shows before being part of the famous Parisi

an art fair FIAC, for the first time in 2000. These last years the gallery took also part to Art Basel in 2010 and to The Armory Show in New York in 2012 and 2013. Moreover the gallery represents the Estate of André Cadere since 2009 and works on exhibitions projects as well as the catalogue raisonné. Hervé Bize is also working closely with François Morellet since the end of the Eighties. Hervé Bize also writes many interviews and texts. Two books written by him have recently been issued by the Editions Cercle d’art : one about the French artist Jean Hélion and one dedicated to the DADA movement. He published from 1993 to 2008 Art & Aktœr, a quaterly newspaper dedicated to art events in East of France and Luxemburg too. Hervé Bize has been awarded Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2012.
