CORINNE MARCHETTI déplace les objets d’un monde à l’autre. Les posséder tels qu’ils existent ne lui suffit pas. Sans chercher à les reproduire fidèlement, elle les transforme pour qu’ils lui appartiennent autrement, pleinement, en les faisant entrer dans son histoire artistique.
Inspiré de l’escarpin Tourni de Jacquemus, ce soulier en porcelaine conserve l’allure d’un croquis, d’une aquarelle ou d’une note pour mémoire. L’objet du désir laisse alors place au désir de créer.

CORINNE MARCHETTI transports objects from one world to another. Merely possessing them as they exist is not enough for her. Without seeking to reproduce them faithfully, she transforms them—integrating them into her artistic narrative—so that she may claim them in a different, more profound way.
Inspired by the Jacquemus "Tourni" pump, this porcelain shoe retains the air of a sketch, a watercolor, or a quick note. The object of desire thus gives way to the desire to create.
