🎨🙌🏻 A mini 3D canvas cityscape of Lyon, painted with Artemisia oil colors from Pentacolor

I work with a lot of texture and apply my oil paint thickly, so consistency matters to me. These colors are rich, nicely pigmented and mix beautifully while staying vibrant, with enough body to hold every brush and knife mark. ❤️

Which part of the process do you like most: the fresh paint, the mixing, the oil colors layering, or the final texture and reveal?

A new palette to explore 🎨✨

I’ve just received the Artemisia collection by Pentacolor and I’m excited to start experimenting with these oil colors.

The collection takes its name from Artemisia Gentileschi, one of the most remarkable painters of the 17th century, an artist whose strength, courage and powerful artistic voice continue to inspire.

I’ll be putting these colors to the test and sharing more of my experience as I work with them in my studio.

Stay tuned for the painting process and to see how these colors behave on the canvas!

Thank you Pentacolor for sending me the Artemisia collection to discover and test ❤️🎨😍

“Place du petit collège, Lyon »
ORIGINAL PASTEL PAINTING ON SANDPAPER / 30x40 cm (12” x 16” / 2013

This is a pastel painting representing a picturesque square from Lyon, France, Place du Petit College, situated on the Gadagne street in the old Lyon. I was inspired for this work by the colorful facades, the magical light and the totally special atmosphere of this place.
