With David De Beyter given free rein, the Galerie Bacqueville is delighted to announce a group show to mark the publication of his new book (The Skeptics, published by ) and that of Bérangère Fromont (République, published by ). For this exhibition, entitled “Subsidence”, David De Beyter has invited twelve artists to engage in dialogue in a large exhibition space in Paris.
Through photographs, paintings, sculptures and installations, “Subsidence” brings together various explorations and reflections on landscape and the body, through approaches that are sometimes sensitive, iconoclastic or spectral. The exhibition thus charts a territory between tranquillity and tension, whose narratives are written in our imaginations.
