KIWI CP - The Rabbit Farm June 1944

Men of the 326th Airborne Engineer Battalion work and sleep in equal measure during the first days after D-Day. Kiwi CP - the command post for the 326th Airborne Engineer Battalion would be established at La Baumée on June 7th 1944 and would see the men work in close coordination with other elements of the 101st Airborne Division during the fighting in Normandy as the Division pushed south towards Carentan.

A very special thank you to La Baumée 44 for their kindness and hospitality and allowing the recreation of these momentous days in the very location it happened 82 years ago! Also to the ETO Group and the CIB Re-enactor Group for their dedication, historical accuracy and being a great team to work with!

What an amazing way to spend D-Day!

In the grounds of La Baumée 44 - the Command Post for the 326th Airborne Engineers in Normandy with the guys from ETO GROUP and CIB Reenactor Group

To spend this Day of Day’s with some many passionate and dedicated historians at a historic 101st Airborne location is something I will treasure!

Utah Beach - D-Day

At 0630 the first assault waves from the 4th Infantry Division would hit the beach at the Uncle Red Sector of Utah Beach.

Today we remember their sacrifice and that of all those who fought here in Normandy

📍Direction la Normandie pour le 82ème anniversaire du Débarquement ! 🇺🇸🪂

Notre association sera présente pour rendre hommage aux hommes de la 101st Airborne Division et représenter un stick du 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, aux alentours de Hiesville.

Le 6 juin, nous avons été invités à la ferme de La Baumée 44 aux côtés de l’association ETO GROUP, qui représentera le HQ du 326th Engineer Battalion de la 101st Airborne Division.

Nous serons déjà présents du 3 au 7 juin dans le secteur de Carentan et Sainte-Mère-Église pour faire vivre le devoir de mémoire, partager notre passion et échanger avec les visiteurs en civil et en uniformes. 🇫🇷🇺🇸

N’hésitez pas à venir nous rencontrer sur place !
