THE PEASANTS’ QUARREL
Inside an inn, a man leaps from a stool and threateningly waves an unsheathed knife. His opponent recoils in terror and, to defend himself, pulls his hat to his chest. A seated man tries to calm the enraged man and a woman puts a protective arm around the child on her lap. The cause of this fight is a deck of cards lying on top of a barrel that falls due to the commotion.
