For almost 30 years, the city of Berlin was divided by a wall. This multilevel border construction crossed the center of the German capital and soon became the greatest symbol of a global conflict between capitalism and socialism that brought the world to the brink of nuclear destruction.
More than three decades after its fall, led by the Peaceful Revolution of 1989, Musealia presents its latest exhibition: "The Berlin Wall. Living in a Divided World".
Created in collaboration with the Stiftung Berliner Mauer and featuring a collection of more than 500 original objects –including 20 meters of the wall itself– and direct testimonies of the division, the exhibition explores the legacy of an era that continues to shape the world to this day.
The exhibition will premiere for the first time this fall at the Fundación Canal in Madrid.

Durante casi 30 años, la ciudad de Berlín estuvo dividida por un muro. Esta construcción fronteriza de multiples niveles cruzaba por el centro de la capital alemana y pronto se convirtió en el mayor símbolo de un conflicto global entre el capitalismo y el socialismo que llevó al mundo al borde de la destrucción nuclear.
Más de tres décadas después de su caída por la Revolución Pacífica de 1989, Musealia presenta su último proyecto expositivo: "El Muro de Berlín. Un mundo dividido".
Creada en colaboración con la Stiftung Berliner Mauer –la Fundación Muro de Berlín– y con una colección de más de 500 objetos originales, incluyendo 20 metros del propio muro, y testimonios directos de la división, la exposición hace alusión al legado de una época que continúa configurando el mundo hasta nuestros días.
La muestra se estrenará por primera vez este otoño en la Fundación Canal de Madrid.
