Blue Hare by Gottfried Helnwein ( ) welcomes visitors at SOLO Independencia, marking the threshold of HELNWEIN: mundos invertidos, the first large-scale exhibition in Spain dedicated to the Austrian artist (Vienna, 1948).

Inside the exhibition, his work unfolds in dialogue with a selection of pieces from SOLO and more than 30 artists, bringing together sculptures, drawings and AI-generated works that expand and disrupt his visual universe room by room.

Structured around ideas of tension, concealment and surrender, the exhibition explores the unstable relationship between visibility, identity and control.

Suspended objects, ropes, metal structures and interrupted artworks create a series of charged environments where restraint becomes both a physical condition and a symbolic gesture. Drawing on references to bo***ge and sh***ri, the works exist in a constant tension between power and vulnerability, exposure and disappearance.

SOLO Castanedo Residency 2026, set in rural Cantabria as a space for research, production and shared living, introduces this year’s selected artist.
pum joins the programme following an international open call.

His practice investigates the relationships between sound, matter and technological systems, approaching sound not only as a medium, but as a physical and spatial condition that shapes experience.

This year’s edition has focused on sound-based practices, with particular attention to listening as a situated and expanded approach, as well as to low-tech, analogue and hybrid methodologies.

Nikita Diakur: Autobahn | Onkaos exhibition at SOLO CSV (Madrid)

'Autobahn' by is a highway of simulated vehicles operating autonomously. With no predetermined choreography or scripted events, the work generates its own behavior through programmed rules —driving personalities, agent interactions, physics— suspending narrative in favor of emergent dynamics: a space shaped by automated decisions and reciprocal interferences.
